Google AdSense Policies Program

Every publisher using Google AdSense must adhere to Google Publisher Policies as well as the specific policies outlined below. Failure to comply without permission may lead to the disabling of ad serving on your site or the deactivation of your AdSense account at any time. Once disabled, you won’t be able to participate further in the AdSense program.

Please stay updated with policy changes as they can occur anytime. It is your responsibility to be aware of and follow the policies listed here. Any exceptions require authorization from Google.

AdSense Policies

Content Placement Policies

Publishers can use AdSense code on pages within the scope of Google Publisher Restrictions, but such content may receive less advertising compared to non-restricted content.

Invalid Clicks and Impressions

Publishers are strictly prohibited from clicking on their ads or using any artificial means to inflate clicks or impressions, including manual methods.

Encouraging Clicks or Views

Publishers, except for rewarded inventory, must not encourage others to click or view ads through deceptive methods or offer compensation for ad viewing or searches.

Traffic Sources

Google ads should not be placed on pages receiving traffic from specific sources, such as paid-to-click programs or unwanted emails. Online advertisers must ensure compliance with Google’s Landing Page Quality Guidelines.

Ad Behavior and Placement

Publishers are allowed to modify the AdSense ad code, but these modifications should not artificially enhance ad performance or harm advertisers. Experimenting with different placements and ad formats is encouraged, but placing AdSense code in inappropriate locations like pop-ups, emails, or software is not allowed.

Restrictions on Google Ads Placement

Google ads, search boxes, or search results are not allowed to be integrated into software applications, displayed in pop-ups, placed inside emails, on dynamically-generated content pages, non-content-based pages, pages specifically for showing ads, or pages that could confuse users.

Site Behavior

Sites displaying Google ads should be user-friendly, free from misleading elements, and should not interfere with navigation through pop-ups, redirects, or malware.

Deceptive Site Navigation

Publishers are not allowed to implement ads in a way that might be confused with menus, navigation, or download links. This includes false claims, nonexistent content links, redirects to irrelevant pages, or any form of navigation designed to mislead users.

Technical Requirements

Google has specified technical requirements for sites displaying ads, including format requirements and WebView support. AdSense for content and Ad Exchange display ads has specific support through designated WebView technologies on Android and iOS.

By understanding and following these policies, publishers can ensure a smooth and compliant experience with the AdSense program.
